Hi,

I need confirmation on the engine size. I believe it is a 2.4L. Please confirm.

Also, when the light turned on, did you notice any knocking or ticking from the engine, or did it continue to run the same?

If there were no noises, chances are it is related to the oil pressure sensor or a wire/connector issue. The sensor is on the side of the engine close to the engine oil filter. See pic 1. Check to see if the connector is not damaged or loose. Also, confirm the wiring isn't damaged.

Additionally, disconnect the electrical connector and check to see if there is oil in the connector itself. Often when the sensor fails, it allows oil to leak through the sensor.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
