One of the fans is not turning making a loud noise under hood. Also doesn’t want to move when in drive. All lights stay on. Not saying it is in drive. You push gas pedal to floor to get it to go. It’s changes in others gears just fine.

Hi Kim,

The noise, it is coming from an electric fan motor? Have you checked to make sure nothing is preventing it from turning?

When you all the lights stay on, are you referring to the shift indicator (P R N D)? If so, that sounds related to transmission range sensor. Let me know. Also, I attached a pic of the sensor and its location so you know what I am referring to.

Let me know.
Joe

I took it had it put on machine they said codes po299 and po811. I don’t see how it could be either of those codes when I put it in drive it doesn’t want to go until I push the gas pedal almost to the floor. All the lights stay on. It doesn’t show your in drive all stay light but in reverse it’s fine changes gears it’s fine. No misfires, it runs great except in drive. Now the fan not turning I want even try driving it I have put a air hose on that was cracked the intake one that’s only one I seen was bad. I have put a upper sensor on. I forgot what they first that it was bad. I had a upper and lower and the upper was bad. They said I cannot think what they called it but it was misfiring before I put that sensor on, then it ran great for couple days check engine light stayed on. Went back put it on machine again they said one my hoses had a leak and my number 2 coil and spark plug was bad. So I put all new coils and plugs on all 4 and found air hose leak. Now this I don’t know what else to do check engine light never went off.

The 811 indicates a transmission slipping issue. Does the engine rev when you hit the gas and the vehicle doesn't move? The other code is a turbo related issue.

Let me know.
