Hello,

The Camshaft Actuator Solenoids (Intake and exhaust) are located on the top of the engine, in between the camshaft covers. I have included a diagram with the engine sensor and valve locations on it in the diagrams down below for you. Please go through this guide and keep us informed as to how everything turns out, or if you need any further assistance.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you, but my motor was burned up so I put a motor in it out of a 2008 g6 which is a 2.4l motor instead of the 2.2l that was in it. The 2.2 did not have the # 4 and 5 cmp actuators. But just the 11 and 13 solenoids. So now my harness outta the Colbalt is 2 sets of wires short for the actuators. Which Cobalt did not have and to change out to g6 harness means changing out complete harness. Inside can also. 5he way 5hey have it set up. Please help me thru this nightmarish problems. Thank you

Hello again,

The correct way to do this is not only replace the wiring harness out of the original vehicle with the wiring harness out of the donor vehicle, but you also need to do the PCM/ECM along with the ignition lock cylinder/key combination as well. You can't add extra wires to the original wiring harness because the PCM/ECM isn't set up for controlling the specific PIDS to control that component. Please get back to us with how things turn out, or if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Alex
