Two days ago my radio would not work, then worked but when I turned off the key the radio stayed on I had to manually turn off. Then next day while driving my entire dashboard went out, lights gauges everything but I did not loose power with engine. I turned off engine then turned back on and my message board showed "SRS service urgent" and my dash lit back up again. The little symbol for airbag is lit up also. My controls to turn the station and volume also won't work for my radio at all.

This type of problem could end up being very difficult to diagnose and you could have more then one problem. One of them being the Infotiament Control Unit which is your radio. The other problem is a network problem and they would need to figure out which module went offline? The 2 problems could be related but I recommend you take it in to Volvo and be patient since sometimes the problem will not happen again for a very long time?

The problem has not stopped and I have made arrangements to take to Volvo repair service. I'm in small town and it's about 60mi to the nearest dealer so I do appreciate your assistance.

Keep me posted as to what they find. Like I metioned before you have a module that is going offline. Could be the module itself? Could be a wiring problem? One thing they may look for is possibly water intrusion? Water leaking in to the central electronic module or its connections can cause all sorts of problems. Where it will leak from is the wiper cowel area near the engine bay. If there is water intrusion then the harness connectors and CEM will need to be replaced. That is just one idea? Volvo will need to duplicate and try and figure out what is actually going on? Good luck and please keep me up to date.
