2005 Volvo XC90 Error message

I attempted to start my 2005 XC90 and received a message "start prevented try again". The lights worked, radio and everything else but the vehicle would not turn over or start no sournd from the engine, couldn't even jump it. After awhile it started! What could be the problem.

Is the key blade broken? If it is make sure you have the key and remote stright before starting or the immobolizer wont pick up the code. If the key blade is not broken (and what I mean by broken is it will not lock when it is in the open position) do the rest of the keys work? If they do then your key is the problem
