I have a 2004 Volvo XC70, 55,000 miles, 5 cylindar.

Check engine light came on about 2 weeks ago, took car in for service at Volvo, they replaced the gas cap...2 days later I took my car for inspection & failed for gas cap (emissions)..Went back to volvo, they replaced gas cap again, took car to inspection where I failed for the same thing...

Has this happened before.....what can be done to correct this situation

Thank you

You have a leak in your evap system, this system controls gas vapor in the fuel system, try replacing your vapor tank and control solenoid. clear codes and recheck.
