2003 Volvo XC70 All Wheel Drive Automatic 115k miles

Brake Power Booster. (Whiistle from dash area when decelerating, or when releasing brake ped, but not while brake ped is pressed.) Mechanic says over $900. I've seen the part online for less than $150. What am I missing? (5-cyl)

A FACTORY BRAKE BOOSTER, PART ALONE CAN COST UP TO $600.00, JUST FOR THE PART. NOT TO MENTION THE LABOR FOR THE INSTALLATION. ITS NOT AN EASY REPAIR, IT TAKES A FEW HOURS TO REPLACE IT. $150.00 FOR A BRAKE BOOSTER SOUNDS INCORRECT, THEN AGAIN IF ITS AFTERMARKET, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
