Air Conditioning problem
2003 Volvo XC70 All Wheel Drive Automatic 93000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
'03 Volvo XC70. A/C blows cold for a while (about 45-60 minutes). Doesn't really control to set temp, just have to adjust fan speed. Gradually, have to keep turning up fan speed to keep car cool. Eventually, no A/C. When you turn up fan full speed, can hear it blowing...somewhere, just not into the passenger compartment. Still feels cool at vents, just nothing coming out. Replaced climate control module, dealer programed (cost..$1000) last summer, didn't help. Only thing that helped...Fall/winter came. This summer, exact same thing. Ever heard of this one? Thanks in advance for help.

Hi Manyvolvos,

Seems like the problem is with frosting of the evaporator. Either the thermistor is installed too far away from cooling coil or is not working properly.

Could be due to thermostat too.
