Shakes or Wobbles problem
2002 Volvo XC70 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles

As I drive under power, expecially 50mph and up I get a shake in the front end. If I let up on the gas the shake goes away. Under cruise control the car runs smooth on level ground but shakes even on a small incline. Reduce power and shake goes away. I also noticed that if a large passenger is seated in the front seat I get a much smoother ride. If I go over a small rise in the road the shake stops at the top of the shock and starts as the car settles back down. The shake can get pretty bad at times.

Sounds like you may have a bad axle? You should take it in to your local shop for an inspection.
