Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Volvo XC70 All Wheel Drive Automatic 84000 miles

Hello:

I recently hit a curb pretty hard. Prior to the curb, it ran very smooth and quiet. From that point, it sounds and feels like an out-of tune 4 banger, versus the smooth and quiet 5 cylinder it was. No leakis just strong vibration throughout idle through freeway speeds. Did I mess up the timing belt? Counter-balance pulley? Alll?

Yes, at idle. Stopped, and throughout acceleration.

Wow looks like you hit pretty hard then? Check the subframe for damage. If it pushed up and engine is sitting on top of it, that will cause a lot of vibration. Also have your engine mounts checked for damage. If they got damaged during the inpact then that could aso cause yur vibration. And check the axles and other suspension parts for any damage.
