2001 Volvo XC70 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

after taking my foot of the brake I hear air coming from the brake pedal. Stops when I tap the brake.

Air valve in booster sticking maybwe pedal itself. Try some silicone spray

Have the brake booster checked. Most likely you will need to have it replaced.
