1998 Volvo XC70 Engine Smoking slightly- rear top

1998 Volvo XC70 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 140xxx miles

Wondering if anyone could provide a possible diagnosis given this description and adivse of the severity of this or general estimate on repair.

Description:
Slight amount of white smoke seems to be coming from where the top half of the engine meets the bottom half. Near cylindircal cover directly opposite the oil cap.
