Brakes problem
2010 Volvo V70 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I want to buy a new V70 wagon. Tow capacity is rated at 3300lbs. I need to tow 2100 lbs to Florida and back once a year [1700 miles each way]. Some have told me that is too much weight for those didtances for that car. How can I be confident the car is really designed to handle that weight?

As long as you do not exceed the recommended weight you will be fine. Also Volvo recommends you use synthetic oil if you are going to be towing. And before you tow, you will need to break in your engine. Also you will need to avoid inclines of more then 15%

The Volvo can tow by help of triler hitches. the class. the class II ar rated for 3,500 lbs. I believe with them your Volvo will handle the weight.
