2001 Volvo V70 ticking sound

2001 Volvo V70

my volvo is making a constant ticking sound on passenger drivers side door...it starts off fast then slows as the car gets warmer...the window works but its got the point that the automatic locking mechanism doesnt work anymore..any ideas?

Which door is it? You have one post for passenger door and another for driver door? Are both doors doing the same thing?
