2001 Volvo V70 Engine just started shaking badly

My wife was driving the car and was only a block away from the house when the engine started to shake,vibrate,loose power and about every warning light on the dash came on. I went out and started it and it idles although shaking badly and when I tried to rev it up it strains to get the rpm's up.

Is your check engine light on and or blinking
have to check for codes 1st
let me know what you have for codes
a blinking check engine light is an indication of a misfire
check coil if firing all cylinders

also check charging system
