1999 Volvo V70 Tming Belt Tensioner

I had my timing belt changed at the appropriate time @a dealer (4 mos ago) but they did not change the timing belt tensioner. As a result, the tensioner broke. I have had it replaced but am wondering if there is anything I should be concerned about. Car seems to be running fine - just want some feedback about this. Should the tensioner have been changed when belt was changed? They did replace water pump....Simply confused and concerned....Put my mind at ease-please!

most manufactureres nowadays advise changeing the tensioner at the same time as the belt .. I do not understand if they took the trouble to replace the water pump they didn't also replace the tensioner ..? .. now you have a new belt and tensioner you should have no problems untill it's due for a change again !
