My car feels like the power has decreased when I accelarate, especially on an uphill and it seems to be taking longer to shift gear. Just took it for an oil change at a while0u-wait place and they suggested a trans fluid flush. It's never had one. Could that be related to sluggish performance?

If your transmission is starting to fail then a flush will not do you any good. You should take it in for proper diagnosing to see if it is engine mechanical problem, plugged exhaust, or maybe your transmission itself is failing?
