Computer problem
1998 Volvo V70 Front Wheel Drive 60,000 miles

I have a 5cyl auto volvo. While driving the ETS light sometimes comes on, I have to stop switch the car off and start it again before it goes off, what is the problem?

You need to take it in to Volvo to have it scanned for trouble codes in the Electronic Throttle Module. First thing, have you had campaign 155 completed yet? If not that recall is free of charge to you and you need to call Volvo to schedule an appointment. If it already has been done then you would need the throttle diagnose to see what is setting the light off.
