1998 Volvo V70 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 60,000 miles

I have a 5cyl volvo. While driving the ETS light sometimes comes on, if I stop switch off the car for a few minutes then start it again the light is off. What is the problem?

You will need to scan it to make sure that it is just electrical problem. If there is a code, come back with it, if you need scaner there is a link here below.

You need to take it in to Volvo to have it scanned for trouble codes in the Electronic Throttle Module. First thing, have you had campaign 155 completed yet? If not that recall is free of charge to you and you need to call Volvo to schedule an appointment. If it already has been done then you would need the throttle diagnose to see what is causing the light to come on.
