The car was running great until a few days ago. The check engine light came on and then it began to die out. It was putting out white smoke and now it is black. The car will not stay running. It will start for a few seconds and when you try to give it gas it dies. We had the caddilitic converter fixed but it is still doing the same thing. The check engine light as well as the service light is on. there is a terrible smell from the smoke when it is started. When the car is running it sounds really good just like when we bought it. Any suggestions
