I'm hearing the sound of "air hissing" when I turn on the car and while driving. When I use the brakes, the sound quits.

THE HISSING NOISE IS DUE TO A LEAKING BRAKE VACUUM BOOSTER. THE BOOSTER NEEDS REPLACEMENT. A FACTORY PART IS AROUND $600.
