2001 Volvo S80 Replacing hood struts/dampers

How do I replace worn hood struts/dampers. Do I just pry them off?

You should see the clips on them. Pry back on them and pull. Just make sure you have the hood supported or you will get hurt. Hood is pretty heavy.
