2000 Volvo S80 smell of gas

when my car is running it leaves a strong smell of gasoline and when the car stops, when my foot is on the brake the car continues to excelerate.

Have it checked at VOLVO. If you have a problem with the electronic throttle control module it is covered by a 10year 200k mile warranty from the delivery date. And it looks like that warranty will expire soon.
