When I start my car the message 'Coolant level lo' displays in the message center, after a few minutes the message disappers. My husband has checked the coolant level in the radiator and it is fine.

A co worker mentioned that I may have a leak from my heater core. Unitl I can have a mechanic check the heater core, is it safe to drive my vehicle with the heat on or should I leave it off?

many thanks
