When I took my car to be inspected the repair shop told me that my right front bushing was cracked and needed to be replaced. They didn't know whether the bushing could just be replaces or if the whole control arm would need to be replaced. This morning they told me the whole control arm would need to be replaced. Is this true?

The bushings can be replaced. You jst need to take some where they can press the bushings in.
