My S80's AC seems to work fine until it gets above 85 outside. Then it will work for 2-3 minutes then blows warm moist air. Turning it off for 15 minutes will get you another2-3 minutes of cold air. Volvo tech has checked for leaks but none found, figures it is time to change the compressor.

Your compressor clutch could be worn out already. Have the gap measured. Should be between.3mm and.5mm. If it is beyonde that then your compressor clutch is worn and it is replaceable. My
S-80 is starting to do the same thing because of the worn clutch but have being a little busy to get around too it LOL. I dont mind driving with the windows and sunroof open. Will wait till my wife starts to complain about it before I get around to replacing mine.
