2000 Volvo S70 wont shift into reverse

Hi..well here is my problem my car will not go into reverse and nuetral wants to go forward...ther was a code that came up but they reset it it and it but the same problem with the trans...do you think it is a computer problem or am I going to need to replace the transmission and if so how many hours will it take.
