The spring inside moves out of place because the plastic guide usually breaks. You will need to replace the handle. Removing the boot is a little tricky? You need to fill for the lock ring inside the boot at the top and squeeze and twist down. Once the boot is down, press the button in and pull up on the handle. Becarefull when doing this. You could knock yourself out if you hit yourself on that sweet spot in the jaw? Once out, you just tap the new one in. I usually get some clean rags and put it over the handle and tap it in with a mallet.
