Air Conditioning problem
1999 Volvo S70 Automatic 141000 miles

I just bought this car last week, the air conditioning keep going in and out. It gets cold for about 10 minutes then it start blowing warm air. The CHECK ENGINE light is on but the car runs smoothly. What do you think is making the AC act like this? I took it to an auto repair shop and the guy told me that they would have to change the recharging bulb which will cost me about $550 b/c of the labor. My guts is telling me that the problem with the A/C is something very minute. what should I do?

Hi there,

Go get a second opinion on the A/C problem this could be a number of things and the system needs to be tested first, as for the engine light you will need to get a scan to identify this code in the ECU memory, post the code here if you need more information.
