Brakes problem
1998 Volvo S70 105000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I am considering puchasing a 1998 Volvo S70. The owner said that the only problem is that the ABS light is on. They do not want to look into it themselves so I am left with no idea on a possible price to fix this. What does the ABS light usually mean?

This is usually an indication of a faulty ABS module on this car. It is a known weak point-they last for betwee 60-100k miles. The good news is that the unit can be rebuilt for about $150 and will then probably survive the life of the car.
