2004 Volvo S60 60,000 miles

Several articles claim the need to re-align the vehicle after front strut replacement -- do you feel this is necessary? Is this a DIY project?

On the S60 it is recommended since you will change the camber once you loosen the strut bolts. On the S40 on the other hand, replacing the struts will not effect the alignment. As for doing it yourself? If you have the proper tools to compress the coils to remove the shock ot then you can do it yourself. The alignment on the other hand, you would need to take it in to a shop to have it measured and readjusted.
