JUST WONDERING: THE DEALER IS OFFERING ME TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION THAT I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS LATLEY WHERE THE GEARS ARE GETTING STUCK SO YOU HAVE A JERK WHEN IT DOES CHANGE FROM FIRST GEAR TO SECOND. HE IS OFFERING A REBUILT FOR ABOUT $2200.00 WITH INSTALLATION BUT HIS SOURCE IS ONLY GUARENTEEING ME FOR 90 DAYS AND THAT IS MY MAJOR CONCERN(TOO FEW DAYS FOR SUCH AN EXPENSIVE PROPOSITION.)
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
I MUST TELL YOU ONE THING, ALTHOUGH IT DOES HAVE 200,000 PLUS MILES, I TOOK CARE OF IT LIKE A BABY AND PEOPLE ARE AMAZED OF THE CONDITION, BUT YES, ITS STILL 200,000 MILES
THANX!
SORRY FOR THE LONG VERSION

I am surprise that the dealer is actually offering a used transmission? I would not recommend installing a used one since you really do not know the history on the transmission or how many miles it has?

IF THE CAR WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND ITS IN THAT GOOD OF A CONDITION, IT WILL WELL WORTH FIXING THE CAR AND DOING RIGHT. INSTALLING A USED TRANSMISSION IS NOT THE WAY TO GO, I THINK ITS A WASTE OF MONEY. THERE IS ALSO A SOFTWARE UPGRADE AVAILABLE FOR THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE THAT IS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE SHIFT QUALITY, HAS THE PROCEDURE BEEN PERFORMED?
