how do i know if the filter needs to be changed? how to change it?

The cabin air filter is recommended every 15k miles. To replace you would need to remove the drivers side sound proof panel, remove the accelerator pedal, fold carpet down to access the door. Remove the 3 screws to remove door and pull filter down.
