Noises problem
2006 Volvo S40 Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Automatic 55000 miles

I just purchased a pre-owned 2006 Volvo S40 sedan. The engine light came on last week and I am starting to hear a stange noise like a loose belt or something. Any ideas of what is could be? Is this common with Volvo?

ill tell youa s everyone, if it was a problem with volvos they would have a recall and the problem would be fixed.

first thign to do since the light on and you have a noise confirmed i would take it in and have the engiens computer checked and see what is causing the problem. could be a loose drivebelt or acceessory reading wrong throwing the code or somethign worse.
