Need to know the location of where the pcv valve is? And, what I need to fix it, and how to go about fixing it.

About two minutes after I start my car there is a loud squeeling sound. I brought it to a mechanic and they said that it was the pcv/oil canister by the oil filter resevoir. I was told by the mechanic it is a common problem for this type of vehicle. Everyone who had looked at it, at some point came across when they took the oil cap of the air pressure released and diminished the noise.

Call Volvo to make an appointment. The oil trap should be covered by a 10 year/150k mile emmisions warranty. Give them your VIN# and they will let you know for sure. If it is, they will replace the oil trap and hose at no charge to you. Good luck and keep me posted.
