Clutch not working

Transmission problem Manual 42000 miles

In the past 24 hours it has become very difficult to change gears. At the end of the journey i could not put the car in reverse gear? Is is gear lever bushes worn, teeth of linkage damaged or something more that those?

This sounds like the clutch disc is falling apart or the pilot bearing needs to be replaced either way the transmission needs to come out. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job:
