the a/c gauges show low side vacuum and high side 150 lbs;is there a liquid line with orifice tube included or is there an expansion valve or h block in the system?

There is a filter located inside the high pressure line running under the the coolant reservoir. Look for a couple of dimples on the line. That is where the filter will be. Usually if that has metal then your compressor has being running with little or no oil at all. You may need to replace the compressor and drier as well.
