Are there any reasonable solutions to fixing this problem? The Volvo runs hot after about five minutes.

If your getting water into the oil then you most likely need a intake manifold gasket or head gasket.

It sounds like the engine has overheated. Once engine has overheated, the headgasket weakens and allows the mixture of oil and coolant. Check dipstick, if dipstick is milky, there is probably too much coolant in engine already. Only solution you have is to remove the cylinder head and replaced the gasket. Make sure you have somebody due a pressure test to verify headgasket is leaking. Good luck!

Hello, water still mixes with the oil in my 2000 Volvo S40. Even after changing the gasket. Any other solutions will be helpful. Thanks
