2001 Volvo C70 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

why does the trans jump or rough shift frequently?....it also hangs in low when first operated, will shift but not with ease.

You may already have an internal transisson fault or a bad valve body. Your best bet will be to take it in to a transmission shop specialist for proper diagnosis.
