Windshield wiper has stopped working

Six cylinder two wheel drive automatic 187,000 miles

The windsheild wiper stopped working on the drivers side while the passanger side still continues to work. Is this an expensive repair? Thanks, Gordon

Pull cover up where arm attaches to transmission see if nut has come loose.
