1993 Volvo 960 torque convertor

Transmission problem
1993 Volvo 960 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 180k miles

My tranny went out at 180k can't afford the rebuild so I have to get a used one should I replace the torque convertor? Is that a separate sealed unit?

The used transmission should have a converter supplied with it. I would not consider using the old one in the replacement transmission. It is not a sealed unit.
