Hi

My Volvo 940, gets stuck in 1st gear from start up and won't change up, the first few times this happened I stopped tried some other gear settings and then set off and it was fine.

Is this fixable, can the transmission unit be replaced/repaired cheaply or is it just not worth it given the age of the car?

Thanks

Tom

It sounds like the transmission is on its way out, only you can decide if the car is worth it. Check the price if you wanted to buy your own car and base your decision from that
