1991 Volvo 940 replacement of in tank fuel pump

Is there a way to remove/replace my 940SE in tank fuel pump without taking the gas tank out of the car.

take it down and replace it, now would be a good idea to replace the straps.

if its a metal tank, clean it and repaint it to keep it rustfree.
