Shakes or Wobbles problem

I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ON A MAJOR HGWY IN TAMPA WHICH IS ALL STOP AND GO AND ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN I PRESSED THE PEDAL, MY CAR WOULDNT GO UNLESS I PRESSED IT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR HARD THEN IT WOULD TAKE OFF AND ALMOST STALL AGAIN..GOT INTO DOWNTOWN TAMPA AND AT A LIGHT THE ENTIRE CAR STARTED VIOLENTLY SHAKING, ALL LIGHTS ON THE PANEL WENT ON AND THE CAR DIED. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT JUST FINE BUT AM SCARRED TO DRIVE IT HOME..ANY IDEA???? I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR A WEEK AGO AND SIGNED AN AS IS PAPER SO STUCK WITH IT..MAYBE A TUNE UP??

Hi JLT2009,

Seems you have a problem with the idling system and it could be caused by:

1. Leaking vacumns
2. Faulty Throttle Position Sensor.
3. Misfiring spark plugs.
4. Clogged fuel supply system
5. MAF sensor
