1995 Volvo 850 oil leaking from dipstick tube

Engine Performance problem
1995 Volvo 850 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic high miles

I've been told that this means crank case pressure and that i need a new engine. any thoughts on what might cause this symptom that i could trouble shoot before taking the plunge? -Help My buddy said you guys had great advice!

Try replacing the PCV valve and see what happens
