1995 Volvo 850 Head Gasket?

1995 Volvo 850 136000 miles

My daughter bought a used 1995 850 turbo in August 2008. There was a slight oil leak(some dripping).Recently she had the radiator replaced.The other day I checked her oil and the dip stick wasn't oilly but clumpy/whitish does this sound like she needs a new head gasket and how expensive can that get to fix?Ballpark estimate.

Hi there,

Before you worry about head gaskets, do an engine service and use a good quality oil flush, if you have not had problems with overheating & coolant loss this may just be condensation sludge.
