I have recently aquired a Volvo 850 that a college student had replaced the head gasket and never got it running again.
I found plenty of problems, wrong timing belt settings, loose intake bolts, you get the picture.
I just put in a new air mass meter and now it runs. However it seems to be starving for fuel and will not rev over 3,000 RPM.
What is the fuel pressure supposed to be throughout the RPM range?
I suspect a weak fuel pump.
thanks
Jon
