Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Volvo 850 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I was driving down the freeway and my car just died. After pulling over and sitting for a few minutes, it restarted and ran fine. This is the second time this has happened. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Check your main relay. It is located on top of the radiator cooling fan shroud on the left side.

After doing some research online, I thought that the fuel pump relay may have been the problem. When I went to get the part from the Volvo dealership, the man at the counter said, "Let me guess, you have an early model 850? It's a common problem for them". Replaced it on Monday and haven't stalled/died since then.

Thanks!
