I was putting trans fluid in my car and I put a quart of dextron2 and my car calls for type f if im correct. Well I was on the hwy and my car slowly lost its gears it is now just park. I drained the fluid out and added new stuff and it now shows on the tack the revs go up between gears but still wont move. Its now parked and I dont know what to do. So my question is. Do I need a new trans or a shop to flush it? What would you do from here? Thank you

You will have to get it towed to a trans shop and explain exactly what you have done, I feel that that they will first flush the system & chance the filter, do a line pressure test, the Dextron may have caused some problems with internal seals, the transmission specialists will know exactly how it reacts.
