Hi there,
You need an 8mm locking pin to locate the crank shaft, this goes into a hole near dipstick tube, there will be a rubber plug, trouble is you need a special Volvo tension gauge P/N 5197 and my reference book say that these engines will normally damage valve if the belt breaks, with a special caution never to rotate engine with out a belt fitted. The timing mark on the crank is at 6-00 O'clock and the cam is at 12-00 O'clock.
